Rick Newbold is the Regional Director of Calvert Consulting LLC, a former military intelligence systems integrator, and a current civil affairs officer in the Maryland Defense Force. He has supported privacy, identity, and cyber initiatives at CISA, the SEC, DHS I&A, SSA, the Army Office of Business Transformation, and the DoD biometrics and identity activities communities. He holds an LL.M. in National Security Law from Georgetown University and an MBA in International Business from Thunderbird School of Global Management. He is also an IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy, has been an adjunct professor, and has contributed to numerous publications and working groups.
