Maria Vachino is the Scheme Owner for Kantara Initiative, where she oversees the criteria identity services must meet to earn a Trust Mark. A named contributor to NIST SP 800-63A-4, she also supported NIST’s development of the SP 800-63C-4 conformance criteria. She holds a BS in Computer Science from UMBC and an MS in Cybersecurity from Johns Hopkins, and has more than 20 years of experience in identity and cybersecurity.
